YITH WooCommerce Affiliates Premium adds an affiliate programme to a WooCommerce store. Affiliates sign up, get referral links, and earn a commission on sales that come through those links, while you track what each one brings in from the dashboard.

You control the terms. You choose how long an affiliate keeps earning commission from a customer they referred, so a click today can still pay out on a purchase made later, and you can pay commissions by hand or set up an automatic payment system. Detailed click reports for each link show which affiliates actually send traffic.

How to install YITH WooCommerce Affiliates Premium 3.1.0

Download the file
Open My Account → Downloads and download the product. If the archive contains several zips (documentation, child theme, licensing files), you need the one named after the product.

Upload it to WordPress
In your dashboard go to Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin and choose the zip.

Install and activate
Click Install Now, then Activate. If an older or free copy is already installed, WordPress offers to replace it with the uploaded version.

Setup: using YITH WooCommerce Affiliates Premium 3.1.0

Open the affiliate settings. After activating, find the YITH affiliates settings under the YITH menu in your dashboard.
Set commission rules. Choose the commission rate and how long affiliates keep earning from referred customers.
Choose how affiliates join. Decide whether people apply and you approve them, or join automatically.
Set up payouts. Choose manual payment or an automatic system, and a minimum payout amount if you want one.
Test a referral. Create a test affiliate, use their link in a private window, place an order and check that the commission is recorded.
Tell affiliates where to find their links. Link to the affiliate dashboard from your menu or account area.

Common problems and fixes

Referrals aren't tracked

Why it happens: A page cache is serving pages that strip the referral parameter, or the visitor's browser blocks the tracking cookie.
How to fix it: Exclude the referral parameter from page caching, and test in a private window with cookies allowed.

A commission is missing for an order

Why it happens: The order hasn't reached the status that records commission, or it was placed after the commission period ended.
How to fix it: Check the order status and the commission duration setting, then confirm the order came from the affiliate's link.

Affiliates can't see their dashboard

Why it happens: The affiliate hasn't been approved, or isn't logged in.
How to fix it: Approve the affiliate in the dashboard, and make sure they're signed in with their affiliate account.

“The link you followed has expired.” when uploading

Why it happens: The zip is larger than your server's PHP upload limit (upload_max_filesize / post_max_size).
How to fix it: Raise the upload limit in your hosting control panel, or unzip the file and upload the folder to wp-content/plugins with your host's file manager or SFTP.

“The package could not be installed. No valid plugins were found.”

Why it happens: The uploaded zip is a bundle (or a theme), not the plugin itself.
How to fix it: Unzip the download once and upload the inner zip named after the plugin.

“Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.”

Why it happens: Usually a PHP version older than the plugin needs, or a second copy of the same plugin (for example the free version) still active.
How to fix it: Check your PHP version under Tools → Site Health → Info, deactivate any other copy of the plugin, and enable WP_DEBUG_LOG to see the exact error.

Licence or “updates unavailable” notices

Why it happens: The developer's licence key isn't included. Features that call the developer's servers (template libraries, cloud APIs, automatic updates) need it.
How to fix it: Everything that runs locally works without it. For a newer file, use Request an update from your account.
