About AffiliateWP WordPress Plugin 2.7.4 (with 14 Premium Addons Plugin)

AffiliateWP adds an affiliate program to your WordPress site. Affiliates register, get a unique referral link and cookie-based tracking, and see their visits, referrals and earnings in an Affiliate Area. You manage them from the WordPress admin.

Rates can be flat or percentage, set globally, per affiliate or per product. It also has coupon tracking, a referral link generator, payout logs, customisable emails, CSV export, a read-only REST API and WP-CLI commands. It connects to popular eCommerce and membership plugins; check the integration list for yours.

The title mentions 14 premium add-ons, but the listing doesn't name them. The file on record is version 2.7.4, released in July 2021. Test it with your current WordPress and eCommerce plugin versions on a staging site first.

Common problems and fixes

A test sale isn't credited as a referral
Why it happens
Integration is not enabled, the cookie was blocked, or the buyer is the affiliate (self-referrals are blocked by default).
How to fix it
Enable the integration in the settings, test from a different browser or user, and check the cookie settings.
Referrals stay pending
Why it happens
A referral is held until the order reaches a completed state in your shop.
How to fix it
Complete the order, then review the referral status in the admin.
“The link you followed has expired.” when uploading
Why it happens
The zip is larger than your server's PHP upload limit (upload_max_filesize / post_max_size).
How to fix it
Raise the upload limit in your hosting control panel, or unzip the file and upload the folder to wp-content/plugins with your host's file manager or SFTP.
“The package could not be installed. No valid plugins were found.”
Why it happens
The uploaded zip is a bundle (or a theme), not the plugin itself.
How to fix it
Unzip the download once and upload the inner zip named after the plugin.
“Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.”
Why it happens
Usually a PHP version older than the plugin needs, or a second copy of the same plugin (for example the free version) still active.
How to fix it
Check your PHP version under Tools → Site Health → Info, deactivate any other copy of the plugin, and enable WP_DEBUG_LOG to see the exact error.
Licence or “updates unavailable” notices
Why it happens
The developer's licence key isn't included. Features that call the developer's servers (template libraries, cloud APIs, automatic updates) need it.
How to fix it
Everything that runs locally works without it. For a newer file, use Request an update from your account.
