How to install Zerif Pro WordPress Theme 2.1.6

Download the file
Open My Account → Downloads and download the product. If the archive contains several zips (documentation, child theme, licensing files), you need the one named after the product.

Find the installable theme zip
Theme packages often bundle the theme, a child theme, plugins and docs. The installable theme is the zip that has style.css at its top level.

Upload it to WordPress
Go to Appearance → Themes → Add New Theme → Upload Theme, choose the theme zip, then Install Now and Activate.

- Install and activate the theme. Upload the theme zip from Appearance, Themes, and activate it, ideally on a staging copy first.
- Open the Customizer. Go to Appearance, Customize to work through the theme's options.
- Edit the front-page sections. Replace the text and images in the sections of the one-page layout, such as focus areas, about, team, testimonials, news and contact.
- Set colours, logo and backgrounds. Upload your logo and choose colours and background images in the Customizer.
- Add your map and contact details. Enter your location for the map section and set up the contact form.
- Test on phones. Check each section on a phone, since parallax and large images can behave differently on small screens.
Common problems and fixes
Customizer changes don't appear on the live site
- Why it happens
- Changes weren't published, or a page cache is serving the old design.
- How to fix it
- Click Publish in the Customizer, then clear your page cache and CDN and view the site while logged out.
Warnings or layout problems on a current PHP version
- Why it happens
- The theme dates from 2017, and older theme code can clash with newer PHP versions.
- How to fix it
- Test on a staging copy first, turn off error display on the live site, and move to a newer theme if problems persist.
A notice asks for a licence key
- Why it happens
- ThemeIsle uses the key for updates and support, and this download doesn't include one.
- How to fix it
- Use Request an update from your account if you want a newer copy of the theme.

Demo import stops part-way or times out

- The server hits its execution-time or memory limit during the import.
- How to fix it
- Raise max_execution_time and memory_limit with your host, then re-run the importer; importing content, widgets and settings separately also helps.
Pages look broken right after activating
- Why it happens
- The theme's required plugins (page builder, theme core plugin) aren't installed yet.
- How to fix it
- Install and activate everything in the theme's required-plugins notice, then reload.
