Soledad is a multipurpose WordPress theme sold on ThemeForest, aimed mainly at blogs, magazines and news sites. Its main strength is how much of the site you can lay out without code: it has builders for the header and footer, for single posts, and for category, tag, search and archive pages, plus a mega menu builder, all configured from the WordPress dashboard.

A large library of ready-made homepages and templates gives you a starting layout, though the cloud template library connects to the developer's servers and may depend on a licence.

The site feels slow

Why it happens: Soledad includes many features, and a large demo adds heavy images, sliders and scripts.
How to fix it: Turn off unused modules in the theme options, use page caching, compress images and avoid loading several large sliders on one page.

Cloud templates or a demo won't import

Why it happens: Online template downloads depend on a connection to the developer's servers and a licence, which this download doesn't include, or the server's time and memory limits are too low.
How to fix it: Build from the theme's builders and layouts instead, raise your host's limits for imports, and use Request an update from your account for a newer file.

Elementor or WPBakery custom elements are missing

Why it happens: The companion plugin that provides the elements isn't installed or active.

“The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.”

Why it happens: The full download package was uploaded instead of the theme zip inside it.

Why it happens: The zip is larger than your server's PHP upload limit (upload_max_filesize / post_max_size).
How to fix it: Raise the upload limit in your hosting control panel, or unzip the file and upload the folder to wp-content/themes with your host's file manager or SFTP.

Demo import stops part-way or times out

Why it happens: The server hits its execution-time or memory limit during the import.
How to fix it: Raise max_execution_time and memory_limit with your host, then re-run the importer; importing content, widgets and settings separately also helps.

Pages look broken right after activating

Why it happens: The theme's required plugins (page builder, theme core plugin) aren't installed yet.
How to fix it: Install and activate everything in the theme's required-plugins notice, then reload.
