About Jet Engine for Elementor 2.11.2

JetEngine is a plugin from Crocoblock that adds dynamic content tools to WordPress and Elementor. You can create custom post types and taxonomies, add custom fields, then show that data in listing grids and dynamic widgets that you design visually in Elementor.

The file on record is version 2.11.2, from 2022. The legacy text names an older version, so go by the file. It is an add-on for Elementor and needs it to build listings. Other Jet plugins are separate products, so confirm in the documentation which ones this feature set expects, then test on staging with your current WordPress, PHP and Elementor.

Requirements

  • Elementor

Key features

Custom post types and taxonomies
Create new content types and categories from the WordPress admin.
Custom meta fields
Add fields to posts and show their values on the page.
Listing grids
Design a listing item once in Elementor and repeat it for each post or record.
Dynamic widgets
Place dynamic fields, images and links that read from your content.
Relations and options pages
Link content types together and keep site-wide settings on options pages.

Is it right for you?

A good fit for

  • Directories, real estate, job boards and catalogue sites built on custom content types
  • Elementor users who want data-driven layouts without writing PHP

Look elsewhere if

  • Simple brochure sites that only need pages and posts
  • Sites that don't use Elementor

How to install Jet Engine for Elementor 2.11.2

  1. 1

    Download the file

Open My Account → Downloads and download the product. If the archive contains several zips (documentation, child theme, licensing files), you need the one named after the product.

  2. 2

    Upload it to WordPress

In your dashboard go to Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin and choose the zip.

  3. 3

    Install and activate

Click Install Now, then Activate. If an older or free copy is already installed, WordPress offers to replace it with the uploaded version.

Notes for this product

  • JetEngine is one of several Jet plugins, and they are separate downloads. Install only the ones your layouts need, and check the documentation for dependencies.

Common problems and fixes

New custom post type pages show a 404
Why it happens
WordPress hasn't refreshed its permalink rules after the post type was created.
How to fix it
Open Settings, Permalinks and click Save Changes without altering anything.
A listing grid is empty or fields show nothing
Why it happens
The listing queries a different post type, or the dynamic widget uses a field name that doesn't match.
How to fix it
Check the post type chosen in the grid, and select the field from the dropdown rather than typing its name.
“The link you followed has expired.” when uploading
Why it happens
The zip is larger than your server's PHP upload limit (upload_max_filesize / post_max_size).
How to fix it
Raise the upload limit in your hosting control panel, or unzip the file and upload the folder to wp-content/plugins with your host's file manager or SFTP.
“The package could not be installed. No valid plugins were found.”
Why it happens
The uploaded zip is a bundle (or a theme), not the plugin itself.
How to fix it
Unzip the download once and upload the inner zip named after the plugin.
“Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.”
Why it happens
Usually a PHP version older than the plugin needs, or a second copy of the same plugin (for example the free version) still active.
How to fix it
Check your PHP version under Tools → Site Health → Info, deactivate any other copy of the plugin, and enable WP_DEBUG_LOG to see the exact error.
Licence or “updates unavailable” notices
Why it happens
The developer's licence key isn't included. Features that call the developer's servers (template libraries, cloud APIs, automatic updates) need it.
How to fix it
Everything that runs locally works without it. For a newer file, use Request an update from your account.
