About Jet Blocks for Elementor 1.1.4
Jet Blocks is an add-on plugin for Elementor from the Jet family of plugins. It adds extra widgets to the Elementor editor, mainly the pieces you need to build a site header and footer: a logo, a navigation menu, a search box and similar blocks you place on the page visually.
The listing says almost nothing else, so open the documentation in the package for the full widget list. The file on record is version 1.1.7 and dates from October 2018, which is old for an Elementor add-on. Test it with your current WordPress and Elementor versions on a staging site first.
Requirements
- Elementor
Key features
- Elementor widgets
- Adds widgets to the Elementor editor that you drag onto a page like any built-in widget.
- Header and footer pieces
- Aimed at the parts of a site that repeat on every page, such as logo, navigation menu and search.
- Part of the Jet family
- Made by the same developer as the other Jet add-ons, so styling options should feel familiar if you use them.
- Visual styling
- Each widget is configured in Elementor's panel, so you don't edit theme files.
Is it right for you?
A good fit for
- Elementor users who build their own header and footer layouts
- Sites that already use other Jet add-ons and want matching widgets
Look elsewhere if
- Sites that don't use Elementor, since the widgets only exist inside its editor
- Anyone who wants a full page-element library; the listing doesn't describe one
How to install Jet Blocks for Elementor 1.1.4
- 1
Download the file
Open My Account → Downloads and download the product. If the archive contains several zips (documentation, child theme, licensing files), you need the one named after the product.
- 2
Upload it to WordPress
In your dashboard go to Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin and choose the zip.
- 3
Install and activate
Click Install Now, then Activate. If an older or free copy is already installed, WordPress offers to replace it with the uploaded version.
Notes for this product
- The plugin only adds widgets, so it does nothing until Elementor is installed and active. Check the package documentation to see whether any of its widgets also need the Jet family's core plugin.
Setup: using Jet Blocks for Elementor 1.1.4
- Make sure Elementor is active. Install and activate Elementor first, then activate Jet Blocks.
- Open a page in Elementor. Edit a test page and search the widget panel for the Jet Blocks widgets.
- Build a header or footer test. Drop in the logo, menu or search widget and set its content in the panel.
- Check it on mobile. Switch Elementor's responsive view to tablet and phone and adjust spacing and menu behaviour.
Common problems and fixes
The Jet Blocks widgets don't appear in the Elementor panel
- Why it happens
- Elementor is inactive, or the add-on is older than your Elementor version expects.
- How to fix it
- Confirm Elementor is active, clear the Elementor cache from its tools page, and test the add-on on a staging site.
“The link you followed has expired.” when uploading
- Why it happens
- The zip is larger than your server's PHP upload limit (upload_max_filesize / post_max_size).
- How to fix it
- Raise the upload limit in your hosting control panel, or unzip the file and upload the folder to wp-content/plugins with your host's file manager or SFTP.
“The package could not be installed. No valid plugins were found.”
- Why it happens
- The uploaded zip is a bundle (or a theme), not the plugin itself.
- How to fix it
- Unzip the download once and upload the inner zip named after the plugin.
“Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.”
- Why it happens
- Usually a PHP version older than the plugin needs, or a second copy of the same plugin (for example the free version) still active.
- How to fix it
- Check your PHP version under Tools → Site Health → Info, deactivate any other copy of the plugin, and enable WP_DEBUG_LOG to see the exact error.
Licence or “updates unavailable” notices
- Why it happens
- The developer's licence key isn't included. Features that call the developer's servers (template libraries, cloud APIs, automatic updates) need it.
- How to fix it
- Everything that runs locally works without it. For a newer file, use Request an update from your account.
