About Hecate – Creative HTML5 Portfolio Template

Hecate is a static HTML5 template for portfolio and agency sites. It is filed under creative, corporate, blog, portfolio, agency and one-page categories, so you get ready-made pages that you edit in a code editor and upload to any web host. There is no WordPress or database involved.

The listing doesn't state the number of pages, the frameworks used or any animation features, and the file on record dates from May 2020. Open the package and preview the pages in a browser before you plan content. Plan to wire the contact form to your own mail service.

Key features

Portfolio and agency design: Filed under creative, portfolio and agency categories.
One-page option: Also filed under one-page templates.
HTML5 files: Plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript that you edit directly.
Customizable components: The interface elements can be changed to suit your branding.

Is it right for you?

A good fit for

Freelancers and small studios who want a portfolio site without a CMS
Developers who prefer to edit plain HTML

Look elsewhere if

Clients who need to edit content themselves from a dashboard
Stores or sites that need a blog engine, since this is static markup

How to install Hecate – Creative HTML5 Portfolio Template

1
Download the file
Open My Account → Downloads and download the product. If the archive contains several zips (documentation, child theme, licensing files), you need the one named after the product.
2
Preview and edit
Unzip the template and open the HTML files in a code editor. Text lives in the .html files; colours and fonts are in the CSS.
3
Upload to your host
Upload the template folder's contents to your site's public folder (often public_html) with your host's file manager or SFTP, keeping the folder structure intact.

Setup: using Hecate – Creative HTML5 Portfolio Template

Common problems and fixes

The contact form doesn't send

Why it happens: Static templates need a server-side script or a form service to deliver mail.
How to fix it: Configure the template's mail script with your address on a host that supports PHP mail or SMTP, or connect a form service.

Sliders, fonts or maps don't work when opening index.html directly

Why it happens: Browsers block some scripts on file:// pages.
How to fix it: Preview through a local server (for example VS Code Live Server) or after uploading to your host.
