About FrontSix – Creative Photography Template Kit
FrontSix is a template kit for Elementor, made for creative portfolios and photography sites. It is a set of ready-made page designs that you import and edit in Elementor, so it works with whatever WordPress theme you already run rather than being a theme itself.
The kit includes templates for a home page, a work or gallery page, an album page, a blog, a contact page, a studio page and a 404 page. A second group of templates needs Elementor Pro: a global header, global footer, menu, popup and single post layout. The listing dates it to September 2020.
Requirements
- Elementor
- Elementor Pro, only for the global header, footer, menu, popup and single post templates
Key features
- Photography and portfolio pages
- Home, Work/Gallery and Album templates for showing collections of work.
- Studio, blog and contact pages
- Studio, Blog and Contact templates cover the pages most creative sites need.
- 404 page
- A designed not-found page is included.
- Elementor Pro templates
- Global header, global footer, menu, popup and single post templates, which require Elementor Pro.
- Responsive design
- Filed as responsive, so the pages adapt to tablets and phones.
Is it right for you?
A good fit for
- Photographers who want a gallery site built quickly in Elementor
- Designers and small studios that need a portfolio with a blog
Look elsewhere if
- Sites that do not use Elementor
- Anyone who wants the header, footer and post layouts but has only free Elementor
How to install FrontSix – Creative Photography Template Kit
- 1
Install Elementor
Template kits need the free Elementor plugin. Check the product details for kits that also need Elementor Pro or a specific add-on.
- 2
Download the file
Open My Account → Downloads and download the product. If the archive contains several zips (documentation, child theme, licensing files), you need the one named after the product.
- 3
Import the kit
Install the free Envato Elements or Template Kit – Import plugin, open Installed Kits → Upload Template Kit, and select the kit zip without unzipping it.
- 4
Install requirements, then import templates
Use the Install Requirements button to add any missing add-ons, then import the templates you want and assign them to pages.
Notes for this product
- The listing says the required plugin installs automatically when the kit is imported. Elementor Pro is not installed that way; you need it separately for the Pro templates.
Setup: using FrontSix – Creative Photography Template Kit
- Install Elementor. Activate Elementor on your site, and Elementor Pro too if you want the header, footer and post templates.
- Import the kit. Use the import method described in the package instructions to bring in the templates.
- Build your pages from the templates. Create pages for Home, Work, Album, Blog, Contact and Studio and insert the matching templates.
- Replace the images and text. Swap in your own photos and copy, then check each page on a phone.
- Apply the Pro templates. In the Theme Builder, set the display conditions for the header, footer and single post templates.
Common problems and fixes
The header, footer or single post templates don't show up or can't be applied
- Why it happens
- Those templates need Elementor Pro and its Theme Builder, which free Elementor does not include.
- How to fix it
- Install and activate Elementor Pro, or skip those templates and build your own header and footer with your theme.
Kit upload fails or shows as invalid
- Why it happens
- The kit was unzipped and re-zipped, or an inner file was uploaded.
- How to fix it
- Upload the original kit zip exactly as downloaded.
Imported templates have empty sections
- Why it happens
- A required add-on isn't installed.
- How to fix it
- Open the kit in Installed Kits and click Install Requirements, then re-import the template.
Images appear as grey placeholders
- Why it happens
- Kits often ship with placeholder images because the demo photos are licensed separately.
- How to fix it
- Replace them with your own images in the Elementor editor.
