Premium Starter Templates, once sold as Astra Premium Sites, is the WP Astra plugin that imports complete starter websites built for the Astra theme. Each template brings its pages, sample content, images, menus and Customizer settings, so you start from a finished layout instead of a blank theme. The premium version unlocks the templates marked as premium in the library alongside the free ones.

Templates come in versions for different page builders, such as the block editor and Elementor, and you pick the builder before you browse. The import runs from the WordPress dashboard and installs the plugins a template needs along the way. The file on record is version 4.4.10. How to install Astra Premium Sites – Premium Starter Templates 4.4.10

Download the file
Open My Account → Downloads and download the product. If the archive contains several zips (documentation, child theme, licensing files), you need the one named after the product.

In your dashboard go to Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin and choose the zip.

Setup: using Astra Premium Sites – Premium Starter Templates 4.4.10

Activate Astra. Install and activate the Astra theme, then install this plugin.
Open the template library. Go to Appearance, Starter Templates in the dashboard.
Choose your page builder. Select the builder you plan to use so the library shows matching templates.
Preview and import. Open a template, check the preview, and start the import of the full site or a single page.
Replace the sample content. Swap in your logo, text and images, then set your menus and contact details.

Common problems and fixes

The import stalls or fails part-way

Why it happens: Imports download many images and can hit the server's PHP time or memory limits.
How to fix it: Raise the PHP memory limit and max execution time with your host, then run the import again on a clean install.

Imported pages look plain or unstyled

Why it happens: The page builder the template uses isn't active, or its CSS hasn't regenerated.
How to fix it: Activate the builder the template was made for and regenerate its CSS from the builder's tools.

“The link you followed has expired.” when uploading

Why it happens: The zip is larger than your server's PHP upload limit (upload_max_filesize / post_max_size).
How to fix it: Raise the upload limit in your hosting control panel, or unzip the file and upload the folder to wp-content/plugins with your host's file manager or SFTP.

“The package could not be installed. No valid plugins were found.”

Why it happens: The uploaded zip is a bundle (or a theme), not the plugin itself.
How to fix it: Unzip the download once and upload the inner zip named after the plugin.

“Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.”

Why it happens: Usually a PHP version older than the plugin needs, or a second copy of the same plugin (for example the free version) still active.
How to fix it: Check your PHP version under Tools → Site Health → Info, deactivate any other copy of the plugin, and enable WP_DEBUG_LOG to see the exact error.

Licence or “updates unavailable” notices

Why it happens: The developer's licence key isn't included. Features that call the developer's servers (template libraries, cloud APIs, automatic updates) need it.
How to fix it: Everything that runs locally works without it. For a newer file, use Request an update from your account.
