About YITH WooCommerce Quick View Premium 1.29.0
YITH WooCommerce Quick View Premium adds a quick view button to products in your WooCommerce shop and category pages. Clicking it opens a pop-up with the product's details, larger images and an Add to cart button, so shoppers can check a product without leaving the list they are browsing.
That saves clicks for the customer and saves full page loads for your server. The premium version adds more control over how the pop-up looks and what it shows. The file on record is version 1.29.0; test it with your current WooCommerce and theme on a staging site before going live.
Requirements
- WooCommerce
Key features
- Quick view pop-up
- Shows the product's details in a pop-up window over the shop page.
- Add to cart from the pop-up
- Shoppers can add the product to the cart without opening the product page.
- Larger product images
- Product images are shown at a bigger size inside the pop-up.
- Fewer page loads
- Browsing product details without full page loads reduces clicks and server load.
- Style and content settings
- The premium version lets you adjust the button and pop-up and choose which product details appear.
Is it right for you?
A good fit for
- Shops with large catalogues where customers compare many products
- Stores that want shoppers to add to cart straight from category pages
Look elsewhere if
- Stores with only a handful of products, where the product page is enough
How to install YITH WooCommerce Quick View Premium 1.29.0
- 1
Download the file
Open My Account → Downloads and download the product. If the archive contains several zips (documentation, child theme, licensing files), you need the one named after the product.
- 2
Upload it to WordPress
In your dashboard go to Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin and choose the zip.
- 3
Install and activate
Click Install Now, then Activate. If an older or free copy is already installed, WordPress offers to replace it with the uploaded version.
Setup: using YITH WooCommerce Quick View Premium 1.29.0
- Activate the plugin. Upload and activate it with WooCommerce already active.
- Open the YITH settings. Find Quick View in the YITH menu in your WordPress admin.
- Choose what the pop-up shows. Pick the product details, images and buttons to display, and set the button label.
- Test on shop and category pages. Open the shop, click quick view on simple and variable products, and add each to the cart.
Common problems and fixes
The quick view button doesn't appear on shop pages
- Why it happens
- The theme replaces WooCommerce's standard product loop, so the plugin's button has nowhere to attach.
- How to fix it
- Test with a default theme to confirm, then check the plugin's button position settings or ask the theme developer about WooCommerce hooks.
The pop-up opens empty or keeps loading
- Why it happens
- A JavaScript error from another plugin or an optimisation plugin that delays or combines scripts.
- How to fix it
- Check the browser console, exclude the plugin's scripts from minifying and delaying, and test with other plugins disabled.
“The link you followed has expired.” when uploading
- Why it happens
- The zip is larger than your server's PHP upload limit (upload_max_filesize / post_max_size).
- How to fix it
- Raise the upload limit in your hosting control panel, or unzip the file and upload the folder to wp-content/plugins with your host's file manager or SFTP.
“The package could not be installed. No valid plugins were found.”
- Why it happens
- The uploaded zip is a bundle (or a theme), not the plugin itself.
- How to fix it
- Unzip the download once and upload the inner zip named after the plugin.
“Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.”
- Why it happens
- Usually a PHP version older than the plugin needs, or a second copy of the same plugin (for example the free version) still active.
- How to fix it
- Check your PHP version under Tools → Site Health → Info, deactivate any other copy of the plugin, and enable WP_DEBUG_LOG to see the exact error.
Licence or “updates unavailable” notices
- Why it happens
- The developer's licence key isn't included. Features that call the developer's servers (template libraries, cloud APIs, automatic updates) need it.
- How to fix it
- Everything that runs locally works without it. For a newer file, use Request an update from your account.
Frequently asked questions
What does quick view do?
It opens a pop-up with a product's details and images from the shop page, with an Add to cart button.
Does it work with variable products?
Test it with your variable products on a staging site; the pop-up should let shoppers pick options before adding to cart.
Will it work with my theme?
It attaches to WooCommerce's standard shop layout. Themes that heavily customise the product grid can hide the button.
Does it slow down my shop?
The pop-up loads product details on demand, which can mean fewer full page loads for shoppers.
