About WooThemes Object Premium Theme 1.7.2

Object is a WooThemes theme for blogging with photos and video. It was built before WooThemes turned its focus to WooCommerce, so it is a classic multimedia blog theme rather than a shop theme. You publish posts with images or embedded video, and the front page and category pages show them in a grid of one to five columns.

Each post's uploaded images load automatically into a JavaScript gallery slider, and video goes in through an embed field where you paste the embed code. There are fifteen colour schemes, theme options for layout and colours, five custom widgets, page templates for full width, archives and a sitemap, and a .po file for translation.

Find the installable theme zip

Common problems and fixes

Embedded videos don't appear

Why it happens: Old embed code, or code using http on an https site, is blocked by the browser.
How to fix it: Paste the current iframe embed code from the video host, using an https address.

Warnings or deprecated notices appear on the site

Why it happens: The theme's older code is running on a newer PHP version.
How to fix it: Turn off on-screen debug output on the live site, and test on staging to see whether anything actually breaks.

The Flickr widget shows nothing

Why it happens: It relies on a Flickr feed that may have changed since the theme was written.
How to fix it: Remove the widget, or replace it with a current gallery or image widget.

“The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.”

Why it happens: The full download package was uploaded instead of the theme zip inside it.
How to fix it: Unzip the package and upload the zip that contains style.css at its top level.

“The link you followed has expired.” when uploading

Why it happens: The zip is larger than your server's PHP upload limit (upload_max_filesize / post_max_size).
How to fix it: Raise the upload limit in your hosting control panel, or unzip the file and upload the folder to wp-content/themes with your host's file manager or SFTP.

Demo import stops part-way or times out

Why it happens: The server hits its execution-time or memory limit during the import.
How to fix it: Raise max_execution_time and memory_limit with your host, then re-run the importer; importing content, widgets and settings separately also helps.

Pages look broken right after activating

Why it happens: The theme's required plugins (page builder, theme core plugin) aren't installed yet.
How to fix it: Install and activate everything in the theme's required-plugins notice, then reload.
