About WooCommerce Add To Cart Button for Elementor

WooCommerce Add To Cart Button for Elementor is a small plugin that gives Elementor a button for adding a WooCommerce product to the cart. It is meant for pages that you design yourself, such as landing pages and sales pages, where you want a buy button wherever it suits the layout instead of only where your theme's product template puts it.

It was originally sold on CodeCanyon, and the store files it under WooCommerce plugins and Envato plugins. The product listing gives very little detail, so open the widget's controls after installing to see exactly which button styles and cart actions it offers.

It needs both WooCommerce and Elementor. The file is from February 2020, and both of those plugins have changed a good deal since, so test the button on a staging page before putting it on a page that sells.

Requirements

  • WooCommerce
  • Elementor

Is it right for you?

A good fit for

  • Landing and sales pages built in Elementor that need a buy button
  • WooCommerce shops that want to place add-to-cart buttons outside the product template
  • Designers who want a button styled to match a custom layout

Look elsewhere if

  • Sites that don't use Elementor or WooCommerce
  • Stores that need a large set of shop widgets, where a bigger Elementor add-on pack fits better

How to install WooCommerce Add To Cart Button for Elementor

  1. 1

    Download the file

Open My Account → Downloads and download the product. If the archive contains several zips (documentation, child theme, licensing files), you need the one named after the product.

  2. 2

    Upload it to WordPress

In your dashboard go to Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin and choose the zip.

  3. 3

    Install and activate

Click Install Now, then Activate. If an older or free copy is already installed, WordPress offers to replace it with the uploaded version.

Notes for this product

  • Install and activate WooCommerce and Elementor first. This plugin adds a widget to Elementor and needs both.

Common problems and fixes

The widget doesn't appear in Elementor
Why it happens
WooCommerce or Elementor isn't active, or the editor needs reloading.
How to fix it
Check both plugins are active, then reload the Elementor editor and search the widget panel again.
Clicking the button doesn't add the product
Why it happens
A page cache or an optimisation plugin is interfering with the button's script, or the product isn't purchasable.
How to fix it
Exclude the page from caching, clear all caches, and confirm the product has a price and is in stock.
“The link you followed has expired.” when uploading
Why it happens
The zip is larger than your server's PHP upload limit (upload_max_filesize / post_max_size).
How to fix it
Raise the upload limit in your hosting control panel, or unzip the file and upload the folder to wp-content/plugins with your host's file manager or SFTP.
“The package could not be installed. No valid plugins were found.”
Why it happens
The uploaded zip is a bundle (or a theme), not the plugin itself.
How to fix it
Unzip the download once and upload the inner zip named after the plugin.
“Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.”
Why it happens
Usually a PHP version older than the plugin needs, or a second copy of the same plugin (for example the free version) still active.
How to fix it
Check your PHP version under Tools → Site Health → Info, deactivate any other copy of the plugin, and enable WP_DEBUG_LOG to see the exact error.
Licence or “updates unavailable” notices
Why it happens
The developer's licence key isn't included. Features that call the developer's servers (template libraries, cloud APIs, automatic updates) need it.
How to fix it
Everything that runs locally works without it. For a newer file, use Request an update from your account.
