About Martfury – WooCommerce Marketplace WordPress Theme 3.0.7

Martfury is a WordPress theme for WooCommerce stores and marketplaces. It's designed for catalogues such as electronics, furniture, clothing, technology and accessories, and its layout takes after large marketplace sites, with category menus, product filters and deal sections.

It builds on WooCommerce, so the shop works the way WooCommerce does: simple and variable products, digital and downloadable products, external and affiliate products, order tracking, tax and shipping settings, customer reviews, and categories and sub-categories. On top of that, the theme adds product filtering, a live search with filters such as size, colour and brand, and a product showcase with a gallery lightbox, image zoom, colour swatches and 360-degree views.

The theme is the storefront, and not the marketplace engine itself. Letting vendors sign up, list products and manage their own stores needs a vendor plugin, and the version on file is from January 2022.

Download the file

Find the installable theme zip

Install the theme and required plugins. Activate Martfury, then install the plugins listed in its required-plugins notice, including WooCommerce.
Import a demo or build the home page. Import a demo layout if the package includes one, or build the home page from the theme's sections.
Set up menus and categories. Create your product categories and arrange the category menu and header.
Add a vendor plugin. Install and configure a multi-vendor plugin, then set commissions and what vendors can do.
Configure search and filters. Set the product attributes you want shoppers to filter by, and add the filter widgets to your shop sidebar.
Create deals and test the shop. Add sale prices for the deals sections, then run a test order from a customer account.

Common problems and fixes

Vendor pages and dashboards don't look right

Why it happens: The vendor plugin isn't active, or it isn't one the theme's styling supports.
How to fix it: Activate a vendor plugin the theme supports, and check the theme's documentation for its setup steps.

Product filters don't appear in the sidebar

Why it happens: The filter widgets haven't been added to the shop's sidebar, or the product attributes aren't set up.
How to fix it: Create the product attributes, then add the layered navigation or filter widgets in Appearance, Widgets.

Category pages are slow

Why it happens: Large catalogues with big images and several filters put a heavy load on the server.
How to fix it: Use page caching, compress and resize product images, turn on lazy loading, and limit the number of products per page.

“The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.”

Why it happens: The full download package was uploaded instead of the theme zip inside it.
How to fix it: Unzip the package and upload the zip that contains style.css at its top level.

“The link you followed has expired.” when uploading

Why it happens: The zip is larger than your server's PHP upload limit (upload_max_filesize / post_max_size).
How to fix it: Raise the upload limit in your hosting control panel, or unzip the file and upload the folder to wp-content/themes with your host's file manager or SFTP.

Demo import stops part-way or times out

Why it happens: The server hits its execution-time or memory limit during the import.
How to fix it: Raise max_execution_time and memory_limit with your host, then re-run the importer; importing content, widgets and settings separately also helps.

Pages look broken right after activating

Why it happens: The theme's required plugins (page builder, theme core plugin) aren't installed yet.
How to fix it: Install and activate everything in the theme's required-plugins notice, then reload.
