About GravityView Gravity Forms Entry Revisions 1.2.11
GravityView Entry Revisions is an extension for Gravity Forms and GravityView. When a form entry is edited after submission, it keeps earlier versions of that entry so you can compare them. In a site where staff or users edit entries, that gives you a record of who changed what.
It is useful when entries are more than simple contact messages, for example applications, directory listings or records that people update through GravityView. It does not create forms or views itself. It depends on Gravity Forms for the entries and on GravityView for the front-end editing.
The file on record is version 1.2.11, released in November 2022. The listing says little about its settings, so check the documentation in the package, and test it on a staging site with your current Gravity Forms and GravityView first.
Requirements
- Gravity Forms
- GravityView
Key features
- Entry revision history
- Keeps earlier versions of an entry when it is edited.
- Compare changes
- Lets you look at what changed between versions of the same entry.
- Restore an earlier version
- Roll an entry back to a previous state after a mistaken edit.
- Works with GravityView editing
- Designed for entries that users or staff edit through GravityView.
- Gravity Forms entries

Is it right for you?
A good fit for
- Sites where staff or members edit Gravity Forms entries and you want an audit trail
- Directories and application systems built with GravityView
Look elsewhere if
- Sites without Gravity Forms and GravityView, since it needs both
- Simple contact forms where entries are never edited
How to install GravityView Gravity Forms Entry Revisions 1.2.11
- 1
Download the file
Open My Account → Downloads and download the product. If the archive contains several zips (documentation, child theme, licensing files), you need the one named after the product.
- 2
Upload it to WordPress

- 3
Install and activate

Notes for this product
- This is an extension, not a standalone plugin. Install and activate Gravity Forms and GravityView first, then this one.
Setup: using GravityView Gravity Forms Entry Revisions 1.2.11
- Install the parent plugins. Make sure Gravity Forms and GravityView are active and working.
- Activate the extension. Activate GravityView Entry Revisions and look for new settings or entry options.
- Check the documentation. Read the package documentation to see which settings apply to your views and forms.
- Edit a test entry. Change a test entry, then open its revision history to confirm the earlier version was saved.
Common problems and fixes
No revisions appear after editing an entry
- Why it happens
- Revisions are only kept for edits made after the extension was activated, and the parent plugins must be active.
- How to fix it
- Confirm Gravity Forms and GravityView are active, then make a fresh edit and check again.
“The link you followed has expired.” when uploading
- Why it happens
- The zip is larger than your server's PHP upload limit (upload_max_filesize / post_max_size).
- How to fix it
- Raise the upload limit in your hosting control panel, or unzip the file and upload the folder to wp-content/plugins with your host's file manager or SFTP.
“The package could not be installed. No valid plugins were found.”
- Why it happens
- The uploaded zip is a bundle (or a theme), not the plugin itself.
- How to fix it
- Unzip the download once and upload the inner zip named after the plugin.
“Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.”
- Why it happens
- Usually a PHP version older than the plugin needs, or a second copy of the same plugin (for example the free version) still active.
- How to fix it
- Check your PHP version under Tools → Site Health → Info, deactivate any other copy of the plugin, and enable WP_DEBUG_LOG to see the exact error.
Licence or “updates unavailable” notices
- Why it happens
- The developer's licence key isn't included. Features that call the developer's servers (template libraries, cloud APIs, automatic updates) need it.
- How to fix it
- Everything that runs locally works without it. For a newer file, use Request an update from your account.
Frequently asked questions
Does it need GravityView?
Yes. It is an extension for GravityView and Gravity Forms, so both must be installed.
Will it show revisions for entries edited before I installed it?
Earlier changes were not recorded, so expect history only from the point it is active.
Is it related to a feedback board?
No. It tracks edits to form entries and is not a feedback tool.
Will it work with current Gravity Forms?
The file dates from November 2022. Test it on a staging copy with your current versions first.
