About FooEvents for WooCommerce 1.14.23

FooEvents for WooCommerce is a WordPress plugin that adds event and ticketing features to a WooCommerce store. You sell tickets as products, and the plugin handles the event details attached to them. FooEvents also makes add-ons, such as a calendar, PDF tickets, seating and multi-day events.

The slug and an old line in the description mention version 1.11.35, but the file on record is version 1.14.23, released January 2022. The listing doesn't give a feature list, so read the documentation in the package. Test with your current WordPress and WooCommerce on a staging site before selling tickets.

Requirements

  • WooCommerce

Key features

Events as WooCommerce products
Tickets sell through the normal WooCommerce cart and checkout.
Event details on products
Event information is attached to the ticket product.
Add-on ecosystem
FooEvents sells separate add-ons for a calendar, PDF tickets, seating and multi-day events.
Small package
The package is about 649 KB.

Is it right for you?

A good fit for

  • Venues, workshops and organisers who already sell on WooCommerce
  • Stores that want events and ticket orders in the same dashboard as other products

Look elsewhere if

  • Sites without WooCommerce
  • Events that need seating charts or PDF tickets unless you also have the matching FooEvents add-ons

How to install FooEvents for WooCommerce 1.14.23

  1. 1

    Download the file

Open My Account → Downloads and download the product. If the archive contains several zips (documentation, child theme, licensing files), you need the one named after the product.

  2. 2

    Upload it to WordPress

In your dashboard go to Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin and choose the zip.

  3. 3

    Install and activate

Click Install Now, then Activate. If an older or free copy is already installed, WordPress offers to replace it with the uploaded version.

Notes for this product

  • Install WooCommerce first. Add-ons such as the calendar, PDF tickets and seating are separate FooEvents plugins that need this one.

Setup: using FooEvents for WooCommerce 1.14.23

  1. Install WooCommerce. Set up WooCommerce, including currency and a payment method, before adding FooEvents.
  2. Activate FooEvents. Activate the plugin and look for its settings and event options.
  3. Create an event product. Add a WooCommerce product and fill in the event date, venue and other fields from the product edit screen.
  4. Place a test order. Buy a ticket as a customer and check the order email and ticket details.

Common problems and fixes

Ticket emails don't arrive
Why it happens
WordPress sends mail through the server's default method, which many hosts block or mark as spam.
How to fix it
Install an SMTP plugin and send test mails.
“The link you followed has expired.” when uploading
Why it happens
The zip is larger than your server's PHP upload limit (upload_max_filesize / post_max_size).
How to fix it
Raise the upload limit in your hosting control panel, or unzip the file and upload the folder to wp-content/plugins with your host's file manager or SFTP.
“The package could not be installed. No valid plugins were found.”
Why it happens
The uploaded zip is a bundle (or a theme), not the plugin itself.
How to fix it
Unzip the download once and upload the inner zip named after the plugin.
“Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.”
Why it happens
Usually a PHP version older than the plugin needs, or a second copy of the same plugin (for example the free version) still active.
How to fix it
Check your PHP version under Tools → Site Health → Info, deactivate any other copy of the plugin, and enable WP_DEBUG_LOG to see the exact error.
Licence or “updates unavailable” notices
Why it happens
The developer's licence key isn't included. Features that call the developer's servers (template libraries, cloud APIs, automatic updates) need it.
How to fix it
Everything that runs locally works without it. For a newer file, use Request an update from your account.

Will it work with current WooCommerce?
