About All-in-One WP Migration Unlimited Extension 2.39
The Unlimited Extension is an add-on for the All-in-One WP Migration plugin. The base plugin exports and imports whole WordPress sites, but it caps the size of the file you can import. This extension is sold to remove that cap, so you can move larger sites without splitting them or raising server limits by hand.
It does nothing without the base plugin, which must be installed and active. The listing title and URL show other version numbers, but the version on file is 2.38, and the file dates from August 2019. Match the extension to a compatible base plugin version on a staging site before moving a live site.
Requirements
- All-in-One WP Migration plugin (the parent plugin, installed and active)
Key features
- Removes the import size cap
- Intended to let you import backups larger than the base plugin's limit.
- Works inside All-in-One WP Migration
- Adds to the existing export and import screens.
- Whole-site moves
- Used with the base plugin to move a full WordPress site between hosts.
- Host limits still apply
- Your server's own upload and time limits are separate from the plugin's cap.
Is it right for you?
A good fit for
- Site owners moving a large WordPress site to a new host
- Agencies that already use All-in-One WP Migration for site moves
Look elsewhere if
- Sites that don't use All-in-One WP Migration, since this is only an extension
- Small sites whose backups already fit under the base plugin's limit
How to install All-in-One WP Migration Unlimited Extension 2.39
- 1
Download the file
Open My Account → Downloads and download the product. If the archive contains several zips (documentation, child theme, licensing files), you need the one named after the product.
- 2
Upload it to WordPress
In your dashboard go to Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin and choose the zip.
- 3
Install and activate
Click Install Now, then Activate. If an older or free copy is already installed, WordPress offers to replace it with the uploaded version.
Notes for this product
- Install and activate the base All-in-One WP Migration plugin first, then the extension. A mismatch in versions between the two is a common cause of problems.
Setup: using All-in-One WP Migration Unlimited Extension 2.39
- Install the base plugin. Activate All-in-One WP Migration on the destination site.
- Activate the extension. Upload and activate the Unlimited Extension, and check the import screen for the larger limit.
- Export the source site. Use the plugin's export option on the old site and save the backup file.
- Import on the new site. Use the import option, then follow its prompts and save permalinks when it finishes.
Common problems and fixes
The import still stops at the old size limit
- Why it happens
- The extension isn't active, doesn't match the base plugin version, or the server's own upload limit applies.
- How to fix it
- Confirm both plugins are active, then raise the server's upload and execution limits or ask your host.
The import hangs at a percentage
- Why it happens
- A large backup can hit the server's time or memory limit.
- How to fix it
- Raise PHP time and memory limits, or ask your host to do it, then retry.
“The link you followed has expired.” when uploading
- Why it happens
- The zip is larger than your server's PHP upload limit (upload_max_filesize / post_max_size).
- How to fix it
- Raise the upload limit in your hosting control panel, or unzip the file and upload the folder to wp-content/plugins with your host's file manager or SFTP.
“The package could not be installed. No valid plugins were found.”
- Why it happens
- The uploaded zip is a bundle (or a theme), not the plugin itself.
- How to fix it
- Unzip the download once and upload the inner zip named after the plugin.
“Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.”
- Why it happens
- Usually a PHP version older than the plugin needs, or a second copy of the same plugin (for example the free version) still active.
- How to fix it
- Check your PHP version under Tools → Site Health → Info, deactivate any other copy of the plugin, and enable WP_DEBUG_LOG to see the exact error.
Licence or “updates unavailable” notices
- Why it happens
- The developer's licence key isn't included. Features that call the developer's servers (template libraries, cloud APIs, automatic updates) need it.
- How to fix it
- Everything that runs locally works without it. For a newer file, use Request an update from your account.
Frequently asked questions
Does it work on its own?
No. It only extends the All-in-One WP Migration plugin, which must be installed first.
Which version is this?
The version on file is 2.38. The title and URL show different numbers.
Does it remove my host's limits?
No. It lifts the plugin's own cap. Server upload and execution limits can still stop a large import.
Will it work with the current base plugin?
The file dates from August 2019, so test it with your current WordPress, PHP and base plugin on a staging site.
