About Alke – Minimal Creative Portfolio Template

Alke is a static HTML portfolio template. In the store it is filed under Creative, Portfolio, Agency, Gallery, Blog, Magazine, HTML5 and one-page, so it suits showing work in a clean, minimal layout. It is plain files, not a WordPress theme, so there is no admin panel to install.

The listing has no page list, so open the package and preview the files to see which layouts, gallery styles and blog pages are included. The template dates from June 2020. To use it you edit the HTML, CSS and images, then upload the files to any web host. Forms, if present, need a back end that you supply.

Key features

Portfolio focus: Filed under Portfolio, Gallery, Creative and Agency categories.
One-page option: Tagged one-page, so a single scrolling page is supported.
Blog and magazine styles: Also filed under Blog and Magazine, so some article layouts may be included.
Plain HTML5: Static files you can edit in any code editor and host anywhere.

How to install Alke – Minimal Creative Portfolio Template

1
Download the file
Open My Account → Downloads and download the product. If the archive contains several zips (documentation, child theme, licensing files), you need the one named after the product.
2
Preview and edit
Unzip the template and open the HTML files in a code editor. Text lives in the .html files; colours and fonts are in the CSS.
3
Upload to your host
Upload the template folder's contents to your site's public folder (often public_html) with your host's file manager or SFTP, keeping the folder structure intact.

Setup: using Alke – Minimal Creative Portfolio Template

Unzip and preview. Open the HTML files in a browser to see the layouts included.
Replace content. Edit text, images and links to show your own work.
Set up the contact form. If a form is included, connect it to a form handler, because static HTML can't send mail alone.
Upload to hosting. Put the files on your web host and check every page on a phone.

Common problems and fixes

The contact form doesn't send

Why it happens: Static templates need a server-side script or a form service to deliver mail.
How to fix it: Configure the template's mail script with your address on a host that supports PHP mail or SMTP, or connect a form service.

Sliders, fonts or maps don't work when opening index.html directly

Why it happens: Browsers block some scripts on file:// pages.
How to fix it: Preview through a local server (for example VS Code Live Server) or after uploading to your host.
